First in Finland, Booxmedia Oy releases premium live‐TV through cloud‐TV technology solutions
Booxmedia Oy proudly announces the launch of premium live‐TV channels through its unique cloud‐TV technology solutions. The new live‐TV channels are: BBC World News, BBC Knowledge, BBC Entertainment, BBC Lifestyle, BBC HD, Music Television Finland, and Nick Jr. Finland, all channels as a package for 4.95 euros/month. The Premium TV channels are available via the booxTV application for Android and Apple users, at web‐user interface www.booxtv.fi and Smart‐TV.

The BooxTV premium catalogue will extend in the future to include for example VoD (video‐on‐demand) and karaoke‐services. Booxmedia is actively negotiating with and looking for new content providers and partners for its cloud‐TV technology solutions.
To accelerate product development and international expansion, Booxmedia has opened a financing round targeted to close during the first quarter of 2014.

Earlier this year, BooxTV was ranked #1 among video‐on‐demand services leaving behind global services like Netflix and YouTube as well as local alternatives in Finland. The report by YLE, Finnish Broadcasting Company, compared 13 services on three criteria: user experience, content and availability on different devices.
