Booxmedia DRM powers live streaming for major sports properties, such as NHL, KHL, La Liga and PGA Golf
Dear Booxmedia friends,
it is exciting times here at Booxmedia. We are seeing unprecedented adoption for our cloud-TV technology, as consumers continue to shift their TV viewing to tablets, computers and Chromecast/ Apple-TV dongles across markets.
Content security and digital rights management (DRM) are key building blocks, that need to be in place, before the owners of valuable content properties allow for broad, flexible, on-demand distribution for their shows. While continuing to integrate to 3rd party DRM servers, such as Microsoft Playready, we continue to deploy our own, open standards -based Booxmedia DRM server across our customer base. Recently here in the Nordics, one of our major customers DNA partnered with Modern Times Group out of Sweden to distribute a wide array of 1st- tier sports properties to pay-TV subscribers. We are proud to power this solution and deliver live soccer (La Liga from Spain), ice hockey (NHL and KHL) and golf (PGA and LPGA) streams securely encrypted to authenticated pay-TV customers.
I have been testing the service myself over the past few weeks, it is absolutely exciting to be able to follow these top notch sports properties live on any device!
